Setup guide

Google Voice

What to know about Google Voice and Recepta Desk. Google Voice cannot forward only the calls you miss to an outside number, so the setup is different.

Set up

Forwarding missed calls from Google Voice

Can Google Voice send only the calls I miss to Recepta Desk?

Google Voice does not forward only unanswered calls to an outside number the way a landline or business phone does. It rings all your linked numbers at the same time, and an unanswered call goes to Google Voice voicemail rather than on to another number. So there is no clean way to send just your missed calls to Recepta Desk from Google Voice.

  1. 1If you want Recepta Desk to ring on every call, add your Recepta Desk number as a linked number at voice.google.com under Settings, then turn it on under Call forwarding. It will ring on every call, not only the ones you miss.
  2. 2For true missed-call forwarding, use the phone line that rings at your front desk, your mobile carrier or business phone, and set conditional forwarding there instead. Open the guide for that provider.

Good to know

  • Linked numbers must be verified before they can ring. Google reads you a code to confirm a landline.
  • Custom call forwarding in Google Voice routes by who is calling, not by whether you answered. It cannot do no-answer forwarding.

Stop losing new patients to voicemail.
