Setup guide
Grasshopper
Set up call forwarding in Grasshopper so the calls your front desk misses go to your Recepta Desk number. Grasshopper rings your numbers in order, so an unanswered desk call rolls to Recepta Desk.

Forward unanswered calls in Grasshopper
How do I send the calls I miss to Recepta Desk in Grasshopper?
Grasshopper rings your forwarding numbers in the order you list them, with a ring timer on each. List your desk first and your Recepta Desk number second, so an unanswered desk call rolls to Recepta Desk.
- 1In the Grasshopper portal or app, open the extension.
- 2Under the forwarding numbers, put your desk number first.
- 3Add your Recepta Desk number as the next number in the list.
- 4Set the desk's ring time. The default is 40 seconds, and about 25 works well. Save.
- 5Place a test call, leave the desk unanswered, and confirm the call rolls to Recepta Desk and you get a text.
Good to know
- Turn call blasting off. Call blasting rings every number at once instead of in order.
- Set 'When a call is forwarded to me, show the caller ID of' to The caller, so Recepta Desk sees the patient's number, not your Grasshopper number.
- If you list only the desk, an unanswered call goes to Grasshopper voicemail rather than to Recepta Desk. Add the Recepta Desk number as the next entry.
