Setup guide
Landline phone
Set up call forwarding on a traditional landline so the calls your front desk misses go to your Recepta Desk number. Landline codes vary by carrier, so confirm with yours if these do nothing.

How do I send the calls I miss to Recepta Desk on a landline?
Most landlines forward calls with star codes you dial from the handset. The codes below are the common ones, but your local phone company may use different codes, so confirm with them if these do nothing.
- 1Pick up the handset and listen for a dial tone.
- 2Forward on no answer: dial *92, wait for a second dial tone, dial your 10-digit Recepta Desk number, then press #.
- 3Forward on busy: dial *90, wait for the second dial tone, dial the same number, then press #.
- 4Listen for the confirmation tone, then hang up.
- 5Place a test call from another phone, let it ring out, and confirm you get a text back.
Good to know
- These codes are common but not universal. If *92 or *90 does nothing, your carrier may use different codes or may need to turn the feature on for your line. Call them to confirm.
- Do not use *72. That forwards every call, so your phone stops ringing.
- The number of rings before a no-answer call forwards is usually set by your carrier.

How do I stop forwarding calls on a landline?
Each forwarding type has a matching cancel code. Dial the code and wait for the confirmation tone.
- 1No answer: dial *93.
- 2Busy: dial *91.
- 3Forward all: dial *73.
- 4Wait for the confirmation tone after each, then hang up.
Good to know
- If a cancel code does nothing, your carrier may use a different code. Confirm with them.
