How do I send the calls I miss to Recepta Desk on Spectrum Business?

Spectrum Business Voice has separate codes for forwarding on no answer and on busy. Dial them from the desk phone.

  1. 1Pick up the handset and listen for a dial tone.
  2. 2Forward on no answer: dial *92, then after the next dial tone enter your 10-digit Recepta Desk number and press #.
  3. 3Forward on busy: dial *90, then enter the same number and press #.
  4. 4Listen for the confirmation announcement, then hang up.
  5. 5Place a test call, let it ring out, and confirm you get a text back.

Good to know

  • These features are on by default for most accounts but not all. If a code does nothing, turn the feature on in your Spectrum Business account first, or check Spectrum's call forwarding access codes page.
  • Place a test call from an outside phone and confirm Recepta Desk texts that phone, not your clinic line. Spectrum has been reported not to pass the caller's number through on some forwarded calls. If it does not come through, contact Spectrum.
  • Do not use *72, which forwards every call.

Each forwarding type has a matching cancel code.

  1. 1No answer: dial *93.
  2. 2Busy: dial *91.
  3. 3Wait for the confirmation after each, then hang up.
